Weekly Progress Report: week 12 Oct (3-7)




Daily Log: (activities for the week)
* Augmented Reality app at the final phase (Kitten: Black and White and puppy: Husky)
* Transparent canvas to be changed to animation home version (background).
* Russel, Digital Stream Limited, and the SPCA are happy with developments thus far and are looking forward to the finalized app/s.
Status of the project

A summary of last week compared to what was stated on your timeline.

Timeline:
• Character Effects (all the things on a body that need movement and style, responsible for everything that is moving, which is not the character itself (where suitable in the near future), cloning simulation, hair dynamics, fur interaction, prop animation, anything the characters are interacting with, i.e sit on a couch, ensuring it interacts appropriately etc).

Previous week:

• Final layout (things like replacing simplified characters and geometry (where suitable), with high reso, prep for animation by placing in the characters in start position, animation will take the scene and animate it.

• Stereo passing…setting for the left and right eye, preparing the final composition, looking for opportunities to have a more specific experience and draw in the audience etc.

• Animation (start bringing the characters to life…pose out the 3D characters (figuring out all characters walk, talk, movements etc).

A list of what was planned for this week (reflecting on what was stated the timeline, if not, justification for the change*).


• Character Effects (movement is active and applies after each scene transition).
* any bugs are fixed and buttons established.

Learning experience: (A discussion on what I have learnt about myself, Digital Stream Limited, or about work life in general, during this report time period).
Good and positive changes are occurring throughout Digital Stream. The Auckland staff have also become more "mobile/ home-based offices" (works out better for staff and the organisation in several ways). I am participating in times of good changes and movements within the organisation and happy to be working with the likes of Russell and other staff members.
