Assessed Activity 8.2 (2016)

  1. This week brings to a close; a background to Digital Learning Technologies, as you move into the next phase which is to use what you have learnt to create a Learning Object. Your first task is to use your blog to reflect on:
    1. What you have learnt: (I have enjoyed learning from a dual perspective; as a student and a teacher*).
    2. Things that you liked about what you did/learnt in the course: (Gaining a clearer picture or focus on how we can view and perceive the various ways we utilize; learning, the internet, software, social media tools and various other things on a daily or frequent basis*).
    3. Things that could be improved in the course (suggestions for the future): (simply trying to stay in balance and aligned with various constant changes that are related to the things we do; Michael does a decent job of monitoring information relevance etc*).
Just a reminder that there are marks for comments you make on other students blogs, and that you need to maintain a page that links to these comments.

Assessed Activity 7.1 (2016) Reflection, Learning Technologies @ EIT

This weeks task is to: Add a post (or two) to your blog and reflect on any issues that surround the use of mobile and digital learning technologies used during the "field trip".
  • Answer the following questions:
    1. Identify the mobile device and operating system you used (Michael & Stephanie had a 4G connection...my OS is currently a Windows 10 Operating System*).
    2. If you didn't bring a device to the field trip, explain why not (N/A online Adobe Connect learning, as per usual for some of us*).
    3. What issues did you notice when using a device during the field trip (Lag and sound was sometimes difficult to deal with/ lost communications for brief moments*).
    4. What could be done to improve this experience (focus on the use of technology): Investment of upgraded technology.
  • Include any photos or media you captured during the tour.
  • (Please note that I seem to have encountered some issues trying to add snippets from the Adobe connect lecture, but photos obtained can be emailed upon request; if required*)

If you attended virtually:
  • Comment on the questions above from your perspective (Please refer to the above comments*).
  • What issues did you notice when using Adobe Connect as the virtual classroom technology (Please refer to the above comments*).
