Statement of Authenticity
I confirm that:
* This is an original assessment and is entirely my own work.
* It contains no material previously published or written by another person or myself except where due acknowledgement is made in the text.
* No material which to a substantial extent, has been submitted for any other academic course; is included without acknowledgement.
The project proposal will be a minimum of four pages and must cover the
following points:
Describe the learning outcome and audience:
The learning outcome and purpose of
this project is to develop something similar to a basic introduction paper/ course
to provide anyone who may be interested in Augmented Reality; to gain some
basic skills, knowledge, and experiences.
The current focus audience will be
primarily targeted towards students, teachers, and others who could potentially
enjoy learning and incorporating Augmented Reality into their everyday life’s
and sense of purposes.
Describe two possible solutions (e.g. LMS,
PowerPoint, Cloud):
One solution (based upon the examples
provided above*) or recommended additive to this project could be adding PowerPoints
to each week (as we typically receive via most of our papers in EIT*). Content maybe
written within each PowerPoint, such as key definitions, points, and
instructions for set up and development.
Another solution or recommended media,
could be to provide video clips/ media/.mp4 etc, to compliment step by step
instructions and examples; further developing transparency, understanding and learner’s
confidence.
Identify which is the preferred solution
(Basic overview):
Perhaps consider identifying the ‘preferred
solution’ as the PowerPoint option (as it may be universally easier for some to
develop skills, knowledge, and experiences from this preference*). My personal option
would be the video clips/ media/.mp4 etc, as a preferred solution (as it would
provide an entire ‘start to finish’ explanation and example*).
For the preferred solution explain how the learning
needs of the target audience will be catered for:
PowerPoint
Catering for the learning needs of the
targeted audience:
·
A paper will be developed (in a sandbox/ test environment*) within the
official EIT Online site.
·
Students and lecturers are currently being enrolled into the paper I
have initialised development within; providing real-life responses (increasing
the validity and real response rates, based on actual audience/ participants*).
·
Paper/ course name and structure provided:
o ITAR5.101: paper created and
developed within the EIT Online website.
o 10 weeks of content
added (a folder with learning material listed under each week. NOTE: this is
not designed to be a full on official NZQA paper, but more so for the casual
learner; who may be working/ studying full time and wishes to do this part time*).
o PowerPoint information/
presentation materials place appropriately within folders; providing
course material.
o Alternative media (videos/ mp4, photos
etc) materials place appropriately within folders; providing course material.
o Recommended and
alternative links to read and provide alternative starting points to discover, materials
place appropriately within folders; providing course material.
Describe the methodology you intend to use to
develop your learning object with reasons why it would be a suitable choice:
Methodology:
·
To provide course material online.
·
Have scheduled key times available for video conferencing
(providing people with an opportunity to establish live contact to hopefully answer
any questions or provide potentially additional support required*).
·
Email support: alternative contact
method with key times and days provided (managed response requirements*).
The previously
mentioned bullet points, with regards to methodology and reasoning for them
being a suitable choice:
This approach would allow people to be able to have the flexibility to enjoy
developing Skills, knowledge, and experiences (KSA’s*) from the course by
having the material available to the 24/7. Time-frames to complete key
tasks can be established to provide them with a goal to aim for and a means of progression
monitoring. Video conferencing
and email methods of contact will be set up in this manner to provide a reasonable
balance of being able to review potential questions and establishing key times
for people to look forward to and know response times available.
Develop a project plan.
This is a list of tasks with dates and can be done in MS-Project, MS-Excel, or
an MS-Word table:
